In a column for El Pais, Toni Nadal composed that he was wishing a success by Stefanos Tsitsipas over Novak Djokovic in Sunday’s Roland-Garros last would certainly solidify the dissatisfaction of his nephew’s loss to the globe No. 1 in the semi-finals.

“Throughout these last two weeks of competition I was telling my children,” he claimed. “The player that I saw as most capable of beating the Serbian on clay if the opportunity arose, apart from my nephew, of course, was precisely the Greek. And for much of the meeting I held out hope that it would happen.”
Nadal claimed that if there was anything that Tsitsipas need to be sorry for in the wake of the last, it was his lack of ability to take on vital minutes early in the 3rd collection.
